The Ulster County Department of Mental Health (UCDMH) is designated as a Local Government Unit (LGU) under the NYS Mental Health Act. The LGU plays a role in overseeing publicly funded services for people with mental health, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities within the Ulster County Behavioral Health System. Integrated Ulster: a partnership of organisations of all types to create a system of care that effectively accommodates and responds to the complex needs of all residents of County Ulster. The MHLS represents persons who are subject to court-ordered outpatient treatment.
