Thomas was born and raised in London, Ontario. In 2014, because of his love of the North Bay/Nipissing/Callander area and the outdoor lifestyle that comes with it, Thomas and his wife moved „north“ and Thomas joined Valin Partners LLP. Jaimee is an associate at Valin Partners LLP. His general practice includes criminal defense, civil litigation, real estate, and wills and estates. During her law studies, she had the opportunity to participate in law competitions, both in Australia and Canada. She has also participated in Bond`s community legal clinics on immigration, criminal and community law. After graduation, she received first-class honors. Hugh was born in Ottawa, where he attended Glebe High School and Carleton University. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa`s Faculty of Law. As a summer student, he worked at the Faculty of Law at Ottawa City Hall. He worked briefly in Toronto as a lawyer for George Miller before coming to North Bay, where he joined Jean-Jacques Blais. He was for a time the Local Chair of the Review Tribunal of the Canada Pension Commission. Stephania is an associate at Valin Partners LLP.
Her practice focuses on family and child protection law as well as real estate and wills and estates. Jeff is a partner at Valin Partners LLP and works in the areas of real estate, wills and estates, and corporate and commercial law. He has practiced law in North Bay since April 1976, most recently with Hugh McLachlan as McLachlan Froud LLP, before joining Valin Partners LLP in 2019. Valin Partners LLP is a full-service law firm serving the people of North Bay, the District of Nipissing and surrounding areas. Hugh is married to Rosanne and has two children, Rachel and Amanda, who both grew up in North Bay. They are now pursuing their careers in Pembroke and Sault Ste. Ste. Hugh has always been involved in the community. He has served as President of the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce, President of the North Bay Crisis Centre, and has served on other community boards. He is currently a board member of LIPI (Low Income People Involvement of Nipissing) and a director of the A.C.T. Service Club. After graduation, Stephania moved to Peace River, Alberta to begin her career, practicing primarily in family law and criminal defence law.
In Peace River, she served on the Board of Directors of Peace River Alberta`s Victim Services Units, which provided fundraising services to the Victim Services Unit. Jaimee received her law degree from Bora Laskin Law School in Thunder Bay, Ontario. During law school, she was Vice-President of Communications for Equality at the Law Society. Jaimee currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Crisis Centre. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world, staying active running, hiking and playing hockey, and spending time with her dog, Ellie.
